Marcia began utilizing a more integrated approach to illness while working as
a behavioral health nurse. Additionally, while working as a home care mental health case manager/consultant, she was able to develop guidelines and protocol for use of “energy techniques” in the care of home bound medicare patients.
Marcia also has her masters in conflict resolution. She with other staff have developed a more integrated approaches to issues of conflict in relationship—whether that relationship is the person with their illness, health, self, family, other or stress.
Marcia's family background has provided her with additional resources in the sense of “energy” and nontraditional approaches to health. Much of her informal training has been with the help of her family—which has more American Indian background.
Marcia continuing education pursues include ways of examining and teaching expanded integrated techniques of health for dealing with life stressors and everyday living.
In addition to her work at the institute, Marcia has been involved in national community awareness on issues of conflict.
